Sipjangsaeng (십장생), known as the “ten symbols of longevity,” represents a ubiquitous theme in Korea, during the Joseon dynasty (1392–1910) and served as the project's inspiration. The ten symbols include rocks, water, clouds, sun, pine trees, turtles, deer, cranes, sun, and clouds. Each element individually conveys longevity, while the number ten symbolizes perfection and luck. The illustration aimed to honor South Korea's rich cultural heritage and the intrinsic importance of symbolism in Korean culture, inviting viewers to rediscover the enduring significance of these symbols in today's society.
Displayed on a large-scale media wall (25 meters × 6.8 meters) in the MBC* Headquarters in Seoul from October 2023 to January 2024.
